what it means to be patriotic?

to achieve the characteristic or having a value of patriotism in ourselves and also within the community. therefore, there are many ways on expressing your patriotism. for example, give a support on what your country do, support local brands, you proudly fly your country's flag and many more. do not be confuse between nationalism and patriotism. since we are in independence country, I would like to highlight what does patriotism means. in my opinion, Patriotism means supporting and loving our country even when it's going through rough or difficult times. You still love our country, even when things are not as you desire or you would like. Devotion to our country means standing with it, no matter what, and working to make it better.is there any other to show on what it means to be patriotic? of course there are!

1. your willingness on supporting the country.

    first and foremost, we have to give full support to our country in as many ways as we can. in sports, economics and also to your leader of the country! you must be asking how? easy peasy, if there any sports event that involving your country go and give them support! wear your country's shirt and bring your flag to the games. for example, during commonwealth games in 2022 in England Malaysia's students that studies there come and support their athletes. the presence of the students give a lot of meaning to the athletes and also to the country. moreover, we can support local brands, it helps to increase our country's economics. there are lot of brands you can explore for example Ramly's burger.

2. give respect to your leader

    other than that, respecting leader is also one of the ways on developing patriotism in yourself. when you respect your own leader, you shows trust. that's means you are accepting what your leader do for the country. therefore, your country will always be in peace and harmonics. there will be no trust issues or conflicts between the community and also the leader. furthermore, you can also respect your army! they are who responsible to make sure your country safe. their willingness to make sure the country are safe is hard to be repay. by giving them respect can reduce their burden and also make them happy with their works.

3. protect your own country

    besides the army, we as the people in the community can also protect the country. the meaning of protecting the country are not only define by having a weapons and swords but also by protecting each other by not having discriminations and violation. this can develop the values of patriotism because we show our loves to the people in our community and in our own country. for example, we can see during the pandemic Covid-19 that we are always helping and protecting each other by giving helps such as foods and rights. besides, we can also protect out cultural heritage to make sure our cultural will be continuous within the generation to other generation. we must know our origin and make sure there are always rights in every races in the country.

    to be conclude, there are many ways to be patriotic. not only by the meaning but also the action. we as the people in the country must take action to show the patriotism so that our country are always in peace and harmonics. we do show loves to each other and special concern for the well-being of our country. hence, it develops the meaning of the patriotic itself.
